We take it for granted that each child will learn to speak at some point. But if we think about it, it’s quite an accomplishment! All you hear is sounds strung together and your task is to eventually learn how these sounds go together to form meaningful units–words!
There are a number of theories about how children manage to learn language, but we are still not 100% certain how that complex process really works. Leave it to new computer technologies coupled with people who are passionate about learning how we learn and use language–et voilà— you have a super interesting TED talk! Enjoy!
