Day 2: Lesetipps/ Reading tips

The German book of the day: Der große Zahnputztag im Zoo by Sophie Schoenwald

One beautiful day, the zoo director notices that there are absolutely no visitors in the zoo. Why? Because it stinks! He approaches the hedgehog (Ignaz Pfefferminz Igel) and together they set out to brush every animal’s teeth–a quite adventurous endeavor! It’s a funny story about brushing teeth. Fun fact: the author’s sister is a dentist!

The English book of the day: The prince and the pee by Greg Gormley and Chris Mould

Prince Freddie sets out to save a castle from a fierce dragon when he realizes that he really, really, really needs to pee. But then what if you can’t go because of ogres, damsels in distress, and impossibly long lines for the only bathroom in the enchanted forest? The story is really funny, mixing a bunch of fairy tale elements with the true issue of having to pee while traveling.
