As a result of the Covid pandemic there has been a surge in online events. Many schools, libraries, museums, and theaters have made their events, exhibits, and classes available online. For parents who raise children with multiple languages that is pretty good news! For example, it allows us as a German-American family in the United States to join events or classes offered in Germany. One of these events that we have very much enjoyed in our family are the interactive theater plays for children offered via zoom by the
Theater der Jungen Welt in Leipzig
In February, we attended the play Frederick based on the book by Leo Lionni. The theater crew had extremely good command of the zoom technology. They walked everyone through what they needed to do, engaged the children throughout the play, and made it a wonderful experience for everyone. Overall, we really felt as if we were there with them in the theater in Leipzig. If you have German as one of your languages too, this may be a great opportunity! They are performing the one-woman-show Frederick again over the next three days! Get your online ticket (EUR 8,00) and enjoy!
