Ohrenbär – Radiogeschichten für kleine Leute (radio stories for little people) is a literary radio program and podcast in German for children between 4 and 8 years. It is a joint program run by rbb, WDR, and NDR that started in 1987.
Each episode is about 10 minutes long. The stories are performed by professional voice actors. Some stories are told within a single episode, others evolve and develop over the course of a week. All stories were written for this podcast/radio format. Each episode starts with the motif of Peter from Peter and the Wolf. At the end of every episode a child’s voice says:
"Der Ohrenbär, der geht jetzt schlafen. Aber morgen ist er wieder da, mit neuen Radiogeschichten für kleine Leute. Gute Nacht für heute."
